A Cop, A Robber and a Duck.....

So the first card is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge (Numbers). Just a police themed decoupage with some silver foiled paper and some gems stuck in the shape as 20. Quite simple but I like it.

Next is my card which I've combined for Charisma Cardz Challenge (Sunshine Colours), Dutch Dare Card Challenges (Colour Combo) and I used the Sketch off of this weeks Sketch Saturday.

I just used plain paper to make the sketch fit and an image which is from inklined. I love this little duck-so miserable but very cute :D The flowers just finish off the brightness of the card with the sentiment of a Happy Birthday so I can use it for practically anyone's special day.

A few Challenges

So today after a rather long lie in after only getting in from work at 4.30 a.m. I sat and crafted with my Mum and sister who has come to stay for a fortnight.

We decided to tackle the challenges, so this post will have some and then I'll complete some more this week to put up.

So first is a card for I Love Promarkers (Xmas in July) , Winter Wonderland (Holly and Ivy) and Sassy Studio Designs (Clean and Simple).

I used a stamp image my sis had and coloured it with the promarker shades of: Dusty Pink, Spice, Cocoa, Sandstone, Ice Grey 1, Ruby, Peach, Gold, Meadow Green, Denim Blue, Bluebell, Slate, Vanilla, Ice Grey 2. Then used some holly background paper and tried to draw some holly leaves to finish the card off. I didn't want to add anything more as I liked the clean finish too it, which then made me want to add it to Sassy Studio Designs challenge.

The next card I made was for the challenges Papertake Weekly (Cute), Cute Card Thursday (Card for man in your life) and Totally Papercraft (One for the boys). It wasn't made for them all on purpose but when I looked at the challenges it seemed to fit :)
So this is the card:

I used a little dragon stamp (I believe it's Lili of the Valley) and coloured him again using promarkers. I love this little guy! He always makes me go awwwwww haha. I just used some simple black and multicoloured glitter card as the backing and I think the bronze I layered the dragon and sentiment on gives them a nice separation from the card. I then just finished it with 3 orange with white dots round brads. I like this card, simple but cute and would defs give it to a lil guy :).

My Final card for today is this one:

For the Lili of the Valley Challenge (Fun & Games) and Lollipop Crafts (Anything Goes).

I used a Lili of the Valley stamp of her playing dress up and having a tea party which I thought fitted the Fun and Games criteria. Some simple pink and white dots background paper, with some green dotty ribbon as I liked the green with the pink and purple. I then just finished it with a little sentiment and some flowers :)

Hope you enjoyed my cards. Be back soon with more

Some more Challenges...

So today I have two cards to show you guys. The first is a card I'm using to enter Allsorts Free and Easy July Challenge.

For this card I used a square Green card and cut a chunk off at the right hand side. I then used a backing paper which I felt had the vintage feel and added that to the front and inside the card so it would be seen when closed. I used a vintage "pyrimage" picture of a boy defending himself from snowballs and a little embellishment saying merry christmas. Simply finished off with a bit of Gold Papermania ribbon.
Don't usually like vintage looking images but quite like this card.

The next card I have is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which was holidays. When someone mentions the word holiday to me, I don't necessarily think of jetting off somewhere but more of seasonal events so this card is another Christmas one.

For this card I used a green tree background but ripped some grey paper I had to try and give and ice background for my decoupage of the Santa and penguins. I then used a HoHoHo die cut that I had and to give it a bit of liveliness I went over it in some red lacquer. I love these lacquers I have and just keep trying to add them onto everything.

Hope you like :)

NEC 2012.

So I didn't go to the Craft show at the NEC for last year as I was in uni and didn't have the funds, busy trying to work out how much it would be at the mo. But would it be worth it?

For Just Magnolia and Totally Papercrafts

Just a simple card, I used pink with a floral pattern and cut part of the card then put the topper on so it overhung. To fit the challenge for Just Magnolia I coloured her in Purple shades and added purple accessories and then some pink pearly gems. Also, wanted to use this for the TotallyPapercrafts challenge which was girly girls as I think pink and purple are two stereotypical girly colours. I hope this fits into the challenge which again I've left till the last minute.

So the rest...

Phwee a more slow post but still last minute entries for challenges on thursday ha.

First is my card which I have combined for Cute Card Thursday and Dutch Dare Card Challenge.

So the Challenge for Cute Card Thursday was Circles. My mum had stamped me this Penny Black image onto a circle piece last week so I thought it would be ideal. I coloured it using Pro markers and then used chalk around the edge to tie it in better with the background paper. I also thought the background paper (which I believe was papermania) was a good choice for this challenge because of the circles which contain the snowflakes.
I then embellished it with what was needed for the Dutch Dare Challenge which was; Buttons, Bows, Brads and Bling. I used some spotty red and white Papermania ribbon on the edge of the card and created a bow with the same ribbon to stick on top in the corner. The buttons you see are also brads and then the bling in the top right corner are just some gems that I stuck down using double sided tape. Think so far this is my fave card this week.

My next card today is for the combined challenges of Charisma Cardz and Sketch Saturday.

The challenge for Charisma Cardz was Stars and I had this great star paper and toppers but didn't know how to really use it on a card. That's why I combined it with the sketch for Sketch Saturday. I used some contrasting paper with the stars and then used the same paper as ribbon at the bottom right of the topper. Above the image I used a Merry Christmas Paper Ribbon which was on one of the sheets of paper and then added 5 green round brads. I was quite shocked to see though that the ribbon actually said Meryyy Chrsitmas. practically all along it. Should be interesting to see if the receiver notices it!

Last Minute Entry!

Quickie post as I've left it last minute - as usual - to post a challenge. So this one is for Lili of the Valley. Again it was just a basic card using the old die cuts. I seriously love them so I'll probably keep using them for a few more weeks!

I literally used the die cut pack that I first bought from Lili of the Valley. It was the everyday fairies and sentiment pack with backing papers to match. The Challenge this week was Pink and Blue. So I chose a pink fairy (her name escapes me right now!) and used the blue background to fit in with the challenge. To attach the fairy I used a "boinger" again (love doing this atm too) and then just added the pink paper ribbon and pink sentiment of "With Love and wishes".
I like how simple this card is as it doesn't have a particular sketch and everything was from the same pack.

It's been a while.

So it's been nearly two years since I was last on here, and a chaotic two years at that. I completed my A Levels, my sister got married, I turned 18 and I've just passed my first year of uni. Hence the lack of crafting ha.

So anyway down to it.
Me and My Mum made a fair few challenges this week. She did more than me ha as I tend to plod along and it takes me a while to do it.

So the first one I did was the Winter Wonderland Challenge which was Red and Green Must Not be Seen.
So for this I used an Owl stamp by Kanban and coloured it using some ProMarkers. The Pink paper in the background, which just has Merry Christmas in various fonts, was from a pack of Christmas Paper my Mum shared with me, it may have been Papermania. The blue ribbon was just a roll of Papermania ribbon and the Christmas Greetings sticker was by Dufex. With the flowers I just tried to tie in all the colours and finished it with a Papermania felt Snowflake Brad.
I like the colours as I don't usually make anything pink, let alone for Christmas, and just thought it was really different :)

Next was my card I made for the Just Magnolia Challenge. This week it was a sketch that had to be completed, as well as the standard Magnolia image.

So all I used for this was some Blue snowflake printed card, which had a bit of glitter on, can't really tell from picture, and then for the main parts of the sketch I used glitter paper mounted onto silver mirror board. I then used this image for Magnolia, which my Mum had stamped for me ( therefore I don't know the name of her sorry!) and I coloured again using ProMarkers, trying to keep within the same colour palette. I didn't like her flat on the card so I made her raised off the card in the form of a boinger as my mum calls it.

You can just about see the little bit of mirriboard under her head here. All I did was folded it a few times to give and accordian effect then stuck it to the back of her then onto the card.
I then finished it off with a couple of flowers and a simple embellishment.

Next Challenge was for Lili of the Valley. I love Lili of the Valley and as I'm busy sorting my things out I couldn't find the stamps, so I went "old school" Lili and used the die cuts. The sketch that was the challenge I found quite easy to make, and I like how it looks simple but still nice.

The background paper was out of a Papermania christmas kit (I think!) and the starry paper and the reindeer were from a Die Cut pack I bought from Lili of the Valley a while back now! To complete the sketch I added a couple of flowers to the corner. I do like this sketch and think I will use it in the future.

Next up was good old Penny Black Challenge. The challenge for them this week was Christmas in July, giving me a wide range of ideas to use :). I ,again, raided my Mums stamp collection and found this cutie from the set Jolly Follies.

How cute please! I used some paper I've had for a while in my box as a background and attached some gold ribbon I had bundled up. The Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas Sticker is by Dufex, which I've also had for ages and the flowers just made it look less bare.

Another challenge I did was a combined challenge for Charisma Cardz Challenge, which was flowers, and for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, which was Get Well Soon.

For this I used Papermania Flower paper set I got forever ago with a little bit of purple sticky ribbon and some flowers. The sentiment was just a little Get Well Soon stamped, which I mounted onto the backing paper then raised it with 3D Foam. The image was a printed image I got at a shop near here which they'd ordered from inklined.com. Still need to investigate this site as I LOVE some of the images I bought ha.

My Final Challenge was for Sassy Studio Designs and the challenge this week was Red, White and Blue. I love the Union Jack so my first thought was maybe try and tie that in somehow but I couldn't find an image to go with it. So anyway this is my card.
I used a Sugar Nellie Pirate Stamp and tried to keep it all very simple. Red background, white flower and blue colourings. Even though it has a little black on it I hope it still can be included for the challenge!

That's all for now. I'm going to attempt to update my blog info and background now ha!
